The 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro sports Fox Racing shocks and disc brakes

Toyota’s most popular car is getting a big upgrade.

Toyota posted two teaser photos on Instagram this week showing details of the upcoming 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro,

giving us an idea of what kind of updates we can expect from the popular sedan’s refresh. The first image is a close-up of the rear hatch which is poorly painted black with TRD badging, wrapped in all-terrain tires.

The most interesting thing about this picture is the brake arrangement that sits across the wheel. It’s a disc brake, a first for the Tacoma TRD Pro. Before that, the TRD Pro would make noise in the background. And not, it seems.

The next image gives us a look at the Tacoma TRD Pro’s front suspension setup.

Specifically, we can see a Fox QS3 coil spring with Toyota’s signature red spring. The QS3 design is not currently used in any production car, according to Fox’s website.

Currently, you can only buy them for off-road vehicles as parts. This could mean a significant increase over the current TRD Pro configuration for 2024.

Toyota has yet to set a date for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma unveiling, although given all the teases it’s been doing for the past month, we’re expecting a debut within months.
